Against the backdrop of the "dual carbon" strategy and the accelerated construction of a new-type power system, the thermal power industry continues to transform toward flexible peak-shaving, intelligent operations and maintenance (O&M), and safe, efficient operation. Accurate sensing of equipment operating conditions, intelligent monitoring of boiler operation, and optimized control of production processes have become key directions in smart power plant construction.
Recently, the 2026 Seminar on New Technology Applications for Thermal Power Generation under the Dual Carbon Goals was successfully held at the Hangzhou Baijin Hanjue Grand Hotel. Beijing Aoyinbei Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the seminar as a supporting organization and delivered a keynote technical presentation, exchanging views with industry experts, power generation enterprises, and representatives from research institutes and universities on the application practices and development directions of industrial intelligent acoustic technology in the thermal power industry.

From Acoustic Temperature Measurement to Acoustic Diagnostics: Showcasing Industrial Intelligent Acoustic Capabilities
At the seminar, Aoyinbei delivered a keynote speech entitled "From Acoustic Temperature Measurement to Acoustic Diagnostics — Practices and Explorations of Acoustic Technology in Empowering the Thermal Power Industry", systematically presenting the company's technical expertise in acoustic sensors, signal acquisition, algorithm analysis, and industrial applications, with a focus on two major technical directions: acoustic furnace temperature measurement and acoustic fault diagnosis of equipment.

With the large-scale grid integration of renewable energy, thermal power units are taking on increasingly important roles in flexible peak-shaving and power supply reliability. Boiler operating conditions have become more complex, and factors such as coal quality fluctuations, load variations, and equipment safety risks have placed higher demands on real-time monitoring of the temperature field inside the furnace and on combustion optimization.
Conventional temperature measurement relies mainly on local measuring points and can hardly reflect the overall temperature distribution inside the furnace. Aoyinbei's acoustic temperature measurement technology is based on acoustic CT (computed tomography) reconstruction algorithms. By arranging acoustic transceiver devices on the furnace walls and collecting acoustic propagation signals along different paths, it reconstructs a two- or three-dimensional temperature field of the furnace, enabling non-contact, continuous online monitoring of the internal temperature distribution.
Compared with conventional point-type temperature measurement, acoustic temperature measurement presents the furnace temperature field distribution more intuitively, providing data support for applications such as boiler combustion analysis, abnormality monitoring of water walls, combustion optimization, and intelligent sootblowing. It drives the shift of boiler operation from the monitoring of local parameters to the sensing of the overall temperature field.

To date, this technology has been applied in engineering practice on multiple thermal power units of different capacities and furnace types in China, providing technical support for power plants to improve boiler operating safety, optimize combustion conditions, and enhance operating economics.
From Condition Sensing to Intelligent O&M: Expanding Applications of Acoustic Fault Diagnosis
In addition to acoustic temperature measurement, Aoyinbei also highlighted its fault diagnosis solution for industrial equipment based on sound and vibration.
The sound and vibration signals generated by industrial equipment during operation contain rich information about equipment condition. Through continuous acquisition, feature extraction, and intelligent analysis of these signals, equipment anomalies can be identified, providing new technical means for equipment condition assessment and fault diagnosis.
Around the equipment O&M needs of the thermal power industry, Aoyinbei has built a technical system spanning self-developed sensors, signal acquisition, algorithm analysis, and engineering application, extending its acoustic sensing capabilities to boilers, coal conveying, pipelines, rotating equipment, and other application scenarios.
Typical applications include:
Boiler slag-fall impact monitoring: identifies slag-fall impact signatures through acoustic and vibration signals, providing a basis for abnormal condition monitoring of the furnace and boiler-related areas.
Coal conveyor idler fault monitoring: collects and analyzes the operating sound of conveyor idlers to identify abnormal acoustic signatures and help detect equipment faults.
High-pressure pipeline leak detection: uses the acoustic signals generated by leaks to identify and locate abnormal leakage.
Monitoring of rotating equipment such as pumps and fans: identifies operating anomalies through sound and vibration feature analysis, supporting condition-based maintenance and predictive maintenance.
By combining acoustic sensing technology with intelligent algorithms, Aoyinbei aims to promote the transformation of the traditional equipment O&M model — shifting from scheduled overhaul and post-failure response to proactive, condition-based monitoring and intelligent O&M — helping power plants improve equipment operating reliability and reduce the risk of unplanned outages.
Advancing Industrial Intelligent Acoustic Technology on the Foundation of Acoustic Sensing
Drawing on its technical expertise in acoustic sensors, test and measurement, signal acquisition, and algorithm analysis, Aoyinbei continues to advance the integrated development of hardware, algorithms, and engineering applications. By integrating acoustic sensing technology with artificial intelligence, industrial data, and IoT technologies, it is expanding acoustic technology from single signal acquisition toward intelligent detection, condition monitoring, and industry-specific solutions.
During the conference, the Aoyinbei team held in-depth exchanges with representatives of power generation groups, research institutes, and industry enterprises. Focusing on practical needs such as boiler temperature field monitoring, protection of boiler heating surfaces, equipment fault diagnosis, predictive maintenance, and data integration for smart power plants, they discussed application scenarios, product iteration directions, and project cooperation opportunities.
With the construction of the new-type power system and the intelligent transformation of the thermal power industry, intelligent sensing and condition diagnosis of industrial equipment will enjoy much broader application prospects. Going forward, Beijing Aoyinbei Technology Co., Ltd. will continue to deepen its focus on the field of industrial intelligent acoustics — building on self-developed acoustic sensors and centered on signal acquisition and intelligent algorithms — continuously refining its acoustic temperature measurement and acoustic diagnostics products and solutions, expanding applications in thermal power and the broader energy and power industries, and deepening technical cooperation and industrial synergy with partners across the industry.
