The National Technical Committee for Electroacoustics Standardization (TC23), with its preparation and business guidance undertaken by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, is primarily responsible for standardization work in the national electroacoustics field, covering professional areas such as hearing aids, sound level meters, measuring microphones, audiometers, artificial ears and head simulators for measurement, and other electroacoustic measuring instruments. From May 13 to 14, 2025, the National Technical Committee for Electroacoustics Standardization convened in Beijing. The meeting mainly reviewed five standards, including *Electroacoustics - Hearing Aids - Part 0: Measurement of Performance Characteristics of Hearing Aids*. As a member unit, our company actively participated in this meeting, engaging in in-depth deliberation and exchange with industry experts, scholars, and the standard drafting working group on hearing aid-related standards, contributing to the promotion of standardization in the electroacoustics field, particularly in the hearing aid industry.
The participants in this standards committee meeting included committee members, experts, and key drafters of the standard drafting workgroup. All attendees gathered to collectively focus on the review and improvement of hearing aid standards.
May 13: Three standards were deliberated intensively, covering the functional definition and verification of hearing aids, electromagnetic immunity requirements for mobile digital wireless devices, and performance measurement methods for bone-conduction hearing aids. May 14: Two standards were reviewed with focus, including the measurement of electroacoustic characteristics of hearing aids and the specification for magnetic field strength of induction loop systems for hearing aids. The convening of this hearing aid standard review meeting by the National Technical Committee for Electroacoustics Standardization holds multiple important significances. At the industry development level, the formulation and improvement of these standards will further regulate the R&D, production, inspection, and use processes of hearing aids, enhance the overall technical level and product quality of the industry, and promote its healthy and orderly growth. By unifying standards, it helps reduce the phenomenon of uneven product quality in the market, protects consumer rights, and provides safer and more effective hearing aid products for the majority of hearing-impaired patients. In the future, our company will continue to pay close attention to the standardization construction in the electroacoustics field, actively participate in various industry activities and standard-setting work, and continuously enhance our technical strength and innovation capabilities.
